Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that only Vladimir Putin makes decisions in Russia, and for peace to be established, a meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, the USA, and Russia is necessary.
He expressed this during a press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.
«I believe that only Putin makes the key decisions in Russia. Therefore, we need a summit of leaders if we truly seek peace,» Zelensky remarked.
In response to a question about potential contacts between Putin and the US President, he said: «I’m not sure they have much in common, as they are completely different individuals. However, when it comes to Ukraine, we have always supported the idea of an unconditional ceasefire proposed by President Trump.»
