Details: Duda was welcomed at the Kyiv railway station by the acting chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Piotr Lukasiewicz.
Background: In early June, Duda informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he would visit Ukraine before the end of his presidential term.
Additionally, Duda held a meeting with his successor Karol Nawrocki, during which the topic of Ukraine's NATO membership was discussed.
The current Polish president expressed hope that Nawrocki, who had previously made anti-Ukrainian statements, would adopt a different perspective on Ukraine once in office.
