Security Measures in Kyiv: Actions by the SBU and National Police
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police, in collaboration with various defense units, are conducting planned security measures in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital.
The primary aim of these operations is to assess the anti-terrorist (counter-diversion) security of crowded places.
During these security operations, law enforcement will:
- inspect areas and individual buildings (apartments, offices, common areas in apartment buildings, public service establishments, etc.) to identify prohibited items;
- check the identity of individuals present in the area;
- evaluate the anti-terrorist security of local structures.
These operations will be conducted in accordance with the legal regime of martial law.
During this process, there may be restrictions on movement in the streets, document checks, and vehicle inspections.
The SBU urges citizens to understand the potential inconveniences and to comply with the lawful actions and requests of law enforcement.
It is essential to carry identification documents and adhere to the curfew regulations.
The Security Service emphasizes that it operates under the principles of legality and constitutional protection of citizens' rights and freedoms.
