Enhancements in Kyiv's Water Ecosystems
Municipal workers have enhanced the ecological condition of Lake Zhondarka and the Orikhivatsky ponds.
The KP «Pleso» has informed that they are actively implementing innovative methods for improving Kyiv's water bodies. Recently, specialists conducted treatment of Lake Zhondarka using the modern biostimulator «Avelife». This initiative highlights KP «Pleso»'s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable management of the capital's water resources.
«The biostimulator „Avelife“ is a contemporary solution for the comprehensive restoration of water bodies. It is designed for effective purification of the aquatic environment, restoration of its ecological balance, as well as significant improvement of water quality and enhancement of its biological activity. Furthermore, „Avelife“ promotes the active decomposition of both organic and inorganic pollutants accumulating in the water, thereby facilitating the rehabilitation of the water body», explained KP «Pleso».
Improvement measures for the Orikhivatsky ponds have also been carried out in the Holosiivskyi district.
The KP UZN of the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, following recommendations provided during the monitoring of water bodies and with the approval of the National Park «Holosiivskyi», is conducting measures to improve the condition of the Orikhivatsky ponds by introducing a special biodisintegrator for water bodies.
As explained by the KP UZN of the Holosiivskyi district, the biodisintegrator is a natural, effective biopreparation based on beneficial microorganisms and enzymes for purifying and restoring the ecological balance of water bodies, as well as:
- eliminating «water blooming»;
- removing unpleasant odors;
- reducing sediment levels;
- eliminating pathogenic microflora;
- restoring the oxygen regime of the water body;
- improving the microbiological indicators of water;
- cleansing the water body from organic pollution.
The product does not contain chemical reagents, is non-toxic. It poses no threat to the health of humans, animals, fish, and aquatic plants. It does not pollute soil, air, or water. It does not damage plastics, stones, metals, and other materials. It does not cause allergies.
