New Veteran Support Center Opens in Lviv
A unique veteran shooting hub named «Strilnytsia» has opened in Lviv.
Victoria Riasna, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, attended the grand opening of this innovative space that combines sports training, veteran rehabilitation, and patriotic education for youth.
The ceremony took place on June 17 at the historical site of a former shooting society, significant for Lviv. This three-story hub was created with the needs of war veterans, servicemen, schoolchildren, athletes, and the entire community in mind.
«This is not just a shooting range; it symbolizes a new philosophy of supporting war veterans, developing military training, and fostering patriotic upbringing. What we are opening today is an example of how modern infrastructure for military personnel and society should function. I particularly want to emphasize the inclusivity of this space — accessibility for all is not just a detail, but a principle on which we must build Ukraine. «Strilnytsia» is not just about weapons. It is about the strength of spirit, community, and the power of our memory. It is about the indomitable,» stated Victoria Riasna.
What is available at «Strilnytsia»:
- A patriotic education center for youth: first aid, weapon assembly/disassembly, shooting with laser and pneumatic weapons.
- A modern 50-meter shooting range — the only one of its kind in Ukraine.
- A space for veterans: café, library, cardio room, and conference hall.
- A rooftop area for archery, yoga, and training sessions.
All zones are fully inclusive — there is an elevator to the roof, equipped restrooms, shower stalls, and a lift for wheelchair users.
«Strilnytsia» has already become part of the UNBROKEN veteran ecosystem and a new pride for Lviv.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports supports the creation of such spaces across the country. «Strilnytsia» is an example of what modern Ukraine can look like, where war veterans, youth, and communities work together.
