Transforming Contract Square: Community Efforts for Change
Contract Square is changing before our eyes: a collaboration of locals and volunteers from around the globe!
This project by architect Mikael Colville-Andersen aims to create a comfortable and green environment in the heart of Kyiv for residents and visitors. The new space will serve as a recreational area, featuring green zones, benches, playgrounds, and venues for cultural events.
Collaborative work with professional tools
Bosch Ukraine has partnered with this project, providing a range of tools from electric drills to hand tools. Bosch experts held workshops where everyone could familiarize themselves with the tools and gain hands-on experience. Particular interest was shown in the new line of hand tools, offering everything needed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts: from saws to measuring devices.
For Bosch, participating in the Contract Square project is not just an initiative but a reflection of their mission: to improve people's lives. This space will become a true therapy for residents and guests, offering a place to relax among greenery or engage in active recreation.
«We live in this city, and it is important for us to create a space that enhances our everyday moments. This is not just about tools; it's about change, where technology and ideas meet to make life more comfortable,» commented Ivanna Cherevko, Corporate Communications Manager at Bosch Ukraine.
Volunteers are using Bosch's professional tools to build wooden structures, making the process safe and convenient. Company employees have also joined in the project, sharing their experiences and assisting in construction under the architect's guidance.
Building the future together
Every weekend, Contract Square turns into a workshop where everyone is welcome to join. Thanks to collaborative efforts, green islands with trees in special pots and comfortable resting areas with unique benches have already emerged. Contract Square has become noticeably brighter with the street art «Flower of Life» painted on the pavement.
Installation work will continue until the official opening, scheduled for July 2025.
