New Orthopedic Center in Kyiv Region: Project Launch
Preparatory work will begin this month.
A large-scale project for the creation of a high-tech orthopedic and trauma center has started in the Kyiv region based on the regional clinical hospital.
The announcement of the construction was made during a ceremonial event with the participation of American businessman and philanthropist Della Loy Hansen, Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba, and Deputy Minister of Health Ihor Kuzin.
This was reported by the head of Kyiv ODA Mykola Kalashnyk.
A symbolic capsule was ceremoniously laid at the site of the future center, marking the beginning of the project implementation. Additionally, the first magnolia trees were planted in the park near the hospital, named in honor of the benefactor.
The project is being implemented in partnership between the Kyiv Regional State Administration and the charitable foundation "Hansen's Mission in Ukraine".
Preparatory work will begin this month.
The medical facility will be fully inclusive, with autonomous energy supply, including solar panels. Two operating rooms, an intensive care unit, and a shelter will be constructed here. Around 480 specialists in various fields such as surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, therapy, and maxillofacial surgery will work at the center.
The new center will provide a full cycle of assistance—from surgical intervention to prosthetics and rehabilitation. It will become an essential part of the medical recovery system in Ukraine, helping both military and civilians affected by Russian aggression.
