Acer Ventures into Wearable Tech with Innovative Devices
Acer, renowned for its computer hardware, is making a significant entry into the wearable tech market by launching the FreeSense Ring and AI TransBuds, as reported by Android Authority. Both devices leverage artificial intelligence to enhance their capabilities.
The FreeSense Ring is a lightweight titanium ring equipped with biometric sensors that monitor heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality. With AI-driven data analysis through a mobile app, users receive tailored health and fitness suggestions, and all features are available without a subscription.
The AI TransBuds are wireless earbuds that offer real-time two-way voice translation. They support 15 languages spoken across Europe, Asia, North America, and South America, and include features for subtitles and conversation transcription. For full functionality, the earbuds require a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone via a dedicated receiver.
Both devices will be showcased at the Computex 2025 exhibition, with their market launch anticipated later this year. Acer has yet to disclose pricing and availability details.
