Bridget Brink's Resignation
In early April, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih, where a ballistic missile exploded near a playground, resulting in the deaths of nine children.
The then U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, in her response to this tragedy on social media X, failed to mention Russia's involvement in the attack. She stated that "such a strike is another reason why the war must end".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his "displeasure at being surprised" by Brink's response to the Kryvyi Rih attack, labeling it as weak.
The very next day, Brink addressed the terrorist strike again, clarifying that Russia was to blame.
Days later, it was announced that Brink was resigning.
