A football tournament took place in Kyiv, dedicated to the memory of the fallen activist and soldier of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, Pavel Petrychenko.
Sixteen teams participated in the competition, raising 900,000 UAH for the needs of the UAV company of the "Predators of Heights" battalion, 59th OMBR of the Armed Forces.
Notably, Sergey Prytula personally took part in the tournament, as Petrychenko had worked in his charity fund before the full-scale war.
The spectator contribution was 250 UAH, while the participant fee was 1,000 UAH.
Pavel Petrychenko was born in Kyiv and was an active participant in the Euromaidan; later, he worked for Prytula's charity fund. Since 2022, he served in the Armed Forces in aerial reconnaissance and was killed on April 15, 2024, during a combat mission in Avdiivka.
Earlier in March, a charity auction featuring stars of Ukrainian sports was held to raise funds for the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov".
