European Solidarity Demands President's Meeting

The European Solidarity faction demands an urgent session of the Verkhovna Rada with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

How will this agreement contribute to peace and security guarantees?"

Details: Herashchenko is dissatisfied that Ukrainians learn about these matters from international media rather than from their government.

She is also concerned about the "leaks regarding the content of a peace plan supposedly proposed by the USA to Ukraine and Russia," which allegedly entails "not peace but capitulation."

Direct quote: "Ukrainians should learn about the negotiation process not from international media, Secretary of State Rubio, or special representatives Vitkoff and Kellogg, but from the Ukrainian authorities... Ukrainians have the right to hear our peace strategy from their government."

More details: According to her, for several months, government officials delegated by Zelensky to the negotiation group have been avoiding communication with parliament, and ministers Andriy Sybiha and Rustem Umerov have not appeared for question hour in the Verkhovna Rada, evading questions about the progress of negotiations and the Ukrainian plan.

Background:

• Media reported that the Trump Administration handed Ukraine a one-page document last week in Paris, presented as the "final proposal" from the US president regarding a peace settlement. A source close to the Ukrainian government stated that Kyiv considers this proposal to be very biased against Russia. "The proposal clearly states the tangible benefits Russia will receive, but only vaguely and generally mentions what Ukraine will get," said the Ukrainian source to the publication.
• Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko stated that Ukraine is ready to negotiate for peace but will not capitulate.
