Ukrainian Young Chess Players Shine at World Championship

At the youth world championship held on the Greek island of Rhodes, 845 participants from 48 nations competed for glory.

Among them, four representatives from Ukraine claimed medals, including gold and silver.

Myron Netrubka from Dnipro emerged as the world blitz champion in the under-8 category, scoring 9.5 points out of 11 possible, leading his closest rivals by 1.5 points.

Daria Kravchuk from Bucha won the silver medal in the rapid category for under-10, achieving 9 points out of 11 and securing 2nd place among 29 participants.
