The Ukrainian national team achieved a stunning victory over Romania, completing their journey in the main round of Euro-2026 qualifiers.
The match, held at the "Hala widowiskowo sportowa" in Polish Koszalin, ended with a score of 3:1.
The guests took the lead first, capitalizing on a mistake from the Ukrainians – Mykytiuk poorly passed the ball to Manya's foot, who struck powerfully from close range. The Ukrainian response was swift, with an elegant backheel goal from Artem Farenyuk leveling the score.
In the second half, Nazar Shved put the blue and yellows ahead, striking accurately after a pass from Mykytiuk. Subsequently, Rostyslav Semenchenko cemented the lead by sending the ball into an empty net after a pass from Abakshin.
