WTA Ranking Update: Svitolina and Kostyuk Shine
On Monday, April 7, the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) released its updated ranking. Ukraine's top tennis player, Elina Svitolina, has maintained her position among the top twenty players in the world.
The top ten saw just one change; American Jessica Pegula climbed to the third spot after winning the tournament in Charleston, where she defeated fellow American Sofia Kenin in the final.
In addition to Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk also remains in the top thirty, having dropped one position to 25th place.
Diana Yastremska held steady at 46th, while Angelina Kalinina improved her ranking to 65th.
Julia Starodubtseva and Daria Snigur are still in the top 200, sitting at 103rd and 140th respectively.

As a reminder, this week Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Katarina Zavatska, Lyudmila Kichenok, and Nadia Kichenok will compete for Ukraine in the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers.
The matches will take place from April 10 to 12 on the clay courts of Radomskie Centrum Sportu in Radom, Poland. Our team will face the host nation and the Swiss team.
