Kyiv Capitals Secures Crucial Victory in Finals
Today, April 2, the fourth match of the finals series between Kremenchuk and Kyiv Capitals took place.
The game ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the capital team. Now, Capitals lead the series (3-1), and the next match could be decisive.
Vadym Shakhraichuk's team started the game strongly. In the first period, the home team conceded twice: at the 9th minute, Serhiy Chernenko scored, and two minutes before the end of the first period, Canadian import Yang Hu doubled the lead.
In the second period, Kremenchuk had a chance to equalize, but Vitaliy Lyalka failed to convert a penalty shot. However, the team of Igor Yedapin managed to score after that, with Gevorkyan netting during a power play.
Midway through the third period, the Kyiv team also capitalized on a power play. Latvian Berdnix took a long shot, possibly surprising goalkeeper Eduard Zakarchenko.
With two minutes remaining before the final buzzer, an alarm was triggered. After a thirty-minute delay, the teams finished the game, but the score remained unchanged.
