New Housing Reconstruction Aid via the Diia App

A new section titled "Construction Compensation" has been introduced in the Diia app as part of the "eRecovery" program.
This was announced by the Diia press service.
"If your house has been destroyed due to military actions, you can build a new one on your own land with state compensation under the "eRecovery" program," the statement reads.
The service is available for those who have lost their private homes as a result of hostilities and possess land where they can construct a new building. Construction is only permitted on controlled territories where active hostilities are no longer taking place.
To receive compensation, follow these steps:
1. Submit a compensation request through the Diia app or at the local administrative center. After review, the compensation amount will be assigned and reflected in the app.
2. Register the start of construction works on the Diia portal or at the local administrative center.
3. After receiving compensation, cancel the property rights to the destroyed asset.
4. Submit a payment application in the Diia app: Services → eRecovery → Construction Compensation.
It is necessary to update the banking details and select the construction site according to the previously submitted notification about the start of works.
Compensation is issued in two installments of 50%. The first portion must be spent at 90% and confirmed in the Diia app. It should be utilized within 18 months, and both installments within 36 months from the date of the first payment. Otherwise, the funds will revert to the state.
Reminder:
Through the Diia app, one can submit a claim to the Damage Register for compensation for emotional pain and suffering due to the loss of a close family member.
Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression since February 24, 2022, now have the opportunity to submit six additional types of claims for compensation to the international Damage Register through the Diia app.
The Diia app has also included an extract from the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property — confirming the fact of housing destruction or a submitted application for eRecovery.
