Record Surge of Crypto Millionaires Worldwide
The global count of crypto millionaires has hit a record high of 241,700 individuals. According to the report by Henley & Partners, this figure jumped by 40% over the year, driven by positive asset valuation and growing popularity of digital currencies. Notably, the number of investors with asset valuations exceeding $100 million rose by 38% to 450, while the count of crypto billionaires increased by 29% to 36.
Analysts believe that public companies and major financial firms are increasingly betting on cryptocurrencies, especially in the United States, as supportive actions from the Trump administration have instilled confidence in Wall Street for investments in this sector. This has been a key factor in boosting market value.
In 2025, inflows into Bitcoin-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) surged from $37.3 billion to $60.6 billion. Meanwhile, investments in Ethereum-based equivalents skyrocketed fourfold to $13.4 billion. Investment consulting firms and hedge fund managers accumulated the majority of ETH-ETFs in the second quarter of 2025, raising their investments to $1.35 billion and $688 million respectively. Brokerage and private investment firms also fortified their positions, reaching $253 million and $62.2 million respectively.
Reports indicate that the rise in the number of crypto millionaires is also attributed to a "significant increase among holders of digital gold".
The figure surged by 70% to 145,100. This was made possible by the leading dynamics of the first cryptocurrency in comparison to other coins from July 2024 to June 2025. The number of Bitcoin holders with wealth exceeding $100 million rose by 63% to 254, and the number of billionaires increased by 55% to 17. Philip Bauman, founder of Z22 Technologies, explained the improvement in metrics by the recognition of digital gold as the "base currency for wealth accumulation".
Experts noted Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, Switzerland, and the UAE as leaders in cryptocurrency adoption indexes. This indicator considers public sentiment towards these assets, the level of available infrastructure, innovations and technology, regulatory environment, economic factors, and tax attractiveness. Additionally, initiatives from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Greece, Latvia, Panama, New Zealand, and Uruguay to attract foreign investors in cryptocurrencies were highlighted.
It is worth mentioning that Ukrainian officials have declared cryptocurrency assets worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias. In 2,200 submitted declarations for the past year, crypto assets worth 786 million UAH were indicated. As previously reported, according to Opendatabot, the most active declarations of cryptocurrency were made in 2024 by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, with the most popular cryptocurrencies being Tether (USDT), Bitcoin (BTC, XBT), and Ethereum (ETH).
