New Milestone: €500 Million Gas Procurement Agreement

Naftogaz and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have entered into a significant agreement worth €500 million for gas procurement.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on her Telegram channel.

“This is a historic agreement for our country — €500 million for gas procurement. It marks the largest project the bank has undertaken in Ukraine,” she stated.

Svyrydenko emphasized that this is the first time such a loan is provided under EU guarantees, without the need for Ukrainian state guarantees.

“This will enable Ukraine to better prepare for the winter season, ensuring homes are warm and electrified even during the toughest winter days. I thank the EBRD and the EU for their support, as well as the government team and Naftogaz for their professional efforts,” the Prime Minister added.
