Financial Support for Ukraine: New Initiatives and Projects
Ukraine has received over 400 million euros from the Ukraine Facility fund to support educational, medical, and social projects aimed at assisting those affected by the war.

EU Assistance to Ukraine: €400 Million for Education and Social Needs
As part of the macro-financial assistance program, the Ukraine Facility has allocated more than 400 million euros for various projects.
This funding is utilized for educational initiatives, medical support, and social services for internally displaced persons, veterans, and families of fallen soldiers.
Alla Basalaeva, head of the State Audit Office, noted that a significant portion of the European funds is directed to the regions, and this amount will increase until 2027, while the Ukraine Facility program is active.
She also urged local community leaders to responsibly monitor the targeted use of European funds for the proposed projects.
In cases of violations, abuses, or fraud, the State Audit Office will inform European partners.
According to Alla Basalaeva, the funds from the Ukraine Facility are subject to strict control and reporting, so auditors will thoroughly check all financial reports for their accuracy and compliance with actual expenditures.
What is the Ukraine Facility?
The Ukraine Facility is a document necessary for implementing the EU's financial support program for Ukraine, which aims to carry out reforms that lay the foundation for the country's subsequent recovery and economic development, as well as its integration into the European Union.
On October 23, the European Council finally approved the allocation of a macro-financial loan to Ukraine amounting to 35 billion euros.
The loan will be disbursed using profits from frozen Russian assets.
On October 22, the European Parliament supported the proposal to provide Ukraine with a loan from the EU under the G7 credit, which will be repaid using profits from frozen Russian assets.
On August 13, 4.2 billion euros from the EU under the Ukraine Facility program were transferred to Ukraine's budget. These funds were directed towards social programs, humanitarian aid, and other critical budget initiatives.
On June 27, an unconditional financing tranche of 1.9 billion euros from the European Union was received in Ukraine's state budget under the Ukraine Facility program.
